This B & B was quite a nice surprise. We walked into Gastehaus Schmidt not knowing where we would stay. We've just returned from a 16 day river cruise down the Danube. That trip took us from Vienna thur Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. This darling cottage was the perfect transition with its country French motif to help settle back into re work mode in Austin. Thank you for having all the amenities required to soothe tired travelers with added extras to spark up romance. We loved our stay.

We are here to celebrate Brenda's 34th Birthday without our 3 lovely children (they stayed with Grandma). We loved the hot tub ~ Low relaxing. We enjoyed talking & swinging on the front porch.

We had such a wonderfully romantic time in Fredericksburg celebrating our 2nd anniversary. We had a wonderful time & truly appreciated all the "little things" around the cottage ~ candy, snacks, drinks etc.! We enjoyed relaxing on the front porch swing & in the hot tub too.
